Loflin and Jones-Keystone

Revolution has intersected thick sequences of near-surface gold mineralization at Loflin and Jones-Keystone.  These two areas of historic mining are location along the same structural corridor, 1,500 meters apart.  Both areas are open for expansion along strike as well as at depth.  The Company intends to continue to demonstrate the size potential for the region through step out holes and infill drilling.

Gold mineralization at Loflin and Jones Keystone occurs within a similar geologic setting to Romarco's Haile Project, located in South Carolina.  Gold is associated with pyrite, pyrrhotite and minor arsenopyrite, within andesitic volcanic flows and breccias as well as interflow sediments.  Multiple zones within the two prospects are associated with the subvertical axial planes of northeast striking folds.  The thickest sequences of gold mineralization occur within the hinges of these folds.  Highlight holes from the Jones Keystone and Loflin properties include: 104.0 meters averaging 1.27 g/t Au, including 40.0 meters averaging 2.33 g/t, 54.0 meters averaging 1.56 g/t Au, including 28.0 meters averaging 3.01 g/t Au.

Loflin History:

The Loflin property has seen sporadic historical work in the 1800's, 1930's and early 1990's. There are reports of unknown and likely minor historical production from 1850 to 1910, with minor near surface mine development work in the 1930's. All these gold production efforts are dominantly limited to the near surface saprolite weathered rock layer, at less than 50 meters deep.

Historical exploration work conducted by Noranda Exploration Ltd from 1989 to 1992 was detailed and comprehensive, including geological mapping, soil sampling, trenching, sampling of historical workings, 20 diamond drill holes (totaling 2,482m), plus various surface geophysical surveys.

Jones-Keystone History

The Jones-Keystone property is located about 1,500 meters to the northeast of the Loflin property, and similarly, has seen sporadic historical work in the 1800's, 1930's and early 1990's. The first recorded work was in 1852 with a brief historical minor gold production and later in the 1930's, some mine development; all limited to the surface saprolite zone.

In the early 1990's Noranda Exploration Ltd conducted detailed exploration which included geological mapping, soil sampling, five trenches, sampling of historical workings, and 3 diamond drill holes (totaling 454m). Noranda chip sampled un-weathered rock in an old historical working which yielded 1.4 g/t gold over 40 meters.

The table below shows some select highlight drill results. In the mid 1990's Noranda ceased exploration at Jones-Keystone due to low gold prices leaving a highly prospective gold target only partly tested.

Historical drill results for both properties can be found here.
